Thievery is an Unreal Tournament total conversion modification. That means in order to play it, you must have UT. It is a multiplayer game based off of the stealth game, Thief: The Dark Project and Thief 2: The Metal Age.
I won't spend my time explaining the gameplay of this amazing game, I'll just link you to some references.
Official website: http://www.thieveryut.comOfficial Forum: http://forums.blackcatgames.comWikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thievery_UTThis game requires skill, patience, cunning, luck, and experience. It is by far one of the most challenging and heart pumping games I have ever played. Sound is VITAL in this game and obviously vision is as well.
In normal FPS games it can become boring to shoot enemy after enemy. Or perhaps even in Counter-Strike it can become repetative to kill. This is much less likely to happen in Thievery. Every level requires different objectives for the thieves to achieve. The guards goals are simple, kill all the thieves or hold them off until the time limit is passed (did I mention the time limit is usually 25 minutes?).
Words cannot describe this gem. It is a very unknown game and has been around for about four years now. Hiding in the dark is a major aspect of this game and one of the main thrillers. How do you think you would feel being surrounded by four human guards all oblivious that you're in the same room as they are? New players may be discouraged at first, but once you begin to get the handle on things you will become addicted to this game. To give you a gist of how this game plays, here's a couple lists...
Items thieves can use:Speed potion
Invisibility potion
Catfall potion
Health potion
Breath potion
Flashbomb
Lockpicks
Weapons thieves use:Blackjack
Sword
Broadhead arrows
Moss arrows
Water arrows
Rope arrows
I don't want to feed you too much information as you'll no doubt get bored. Soon I plan to record some in-game footage and post it here for you to see. But trust me, this game is definitely worth checking out.
UPDATE!
I found a video so you can preview a little of how Thievery looks. Enjoy!
