The Master Musicians [P.G.Martin] was inspired at Womex 2005. After an afternoon in the company of some jolly nice Iranian musicians I returned to my hotel to see the British Prime Minister on tv ranting-on about taking action against Iran. I have suspected for some time that musicians are better at world diplomacy than politicians, this confirmed my suspicions. Available on Le Son du Bois.

Dance Junkies [P. G. Martin]. This is dedicated to all those people who travel miles in order to dance the night away. Available on Le Son du Bois.

Land Without Stars [tune trad words Martin]. Prior to industrialisation people could walk out at night and see the stars, for many this is no longer possible as more and more people get drawn into cities to live as exiles in an alien world polluted by the blank yellow haze of street lamps. The industrial revolution is a recent phenomenon in the whole course of evolution, I have a strong suspicion that we have not yet evolved sufficiently to cope with living in a Land Without Stars.

The 1973 VW Camper Crossing the Rhine [Martin]. A English hippy pipe tune originally composed on guitar whilst traveling to what was then Yugoslavia. Available on Le Son du Bois.
