Hello out there in Hampton (and surrounding areas).  I'm taking a break from anemia in chronic kidney disease to write a blog introducing myself.  Will says he's going to write a blog but he's all talk so we'll have to wait and see.  Most of you don't know me and I don't know most of you so add my personal myspace below if you care to.

About me:

My name is Jake, I'm married to Abby.  She's from Hampton so that's how I tie back to Lighthouse Church.  I became a Christian when I was 8 years old.  I've been playing guitar for 8 years and I love it. I'm in pharmacy school.  I live in Savannah, GA. I write short sentences.

The band:

I originally joined the band about 3 years ago but took a break to go to undergrad at USC.  I recently rejoined the band back in Novemberish 07.  I play mostly lead electric in the band but sometimes I'll play acoustic if the time is right.  I mostly use my acoustic to write.  I like to write songs but mostly I end up jotting down ideas and handing them off to Will.  I won't go into detail about my gear unless you ask because its boring to those who don't care.

What I like:

My background is diverse from country to emo to metal to James Taylor (whatever he is).  I try to listen to Christian music exclusively but for inspiration for music I will listen to secular bands.  I'm currently listening to the new Jimmy Eat World album (thanks to Christmas giftcards to iTunes).

That's about as boring as I get.  I will write more blogs in the future that actually have substance.
