it's been a while since we posted a blog of goings on. well, we've been quite busy lately, and things couldn't be better...well, maybe if i had a plate piled high with delicious bacon in front of me, things might be better.

so, a few weeks ago we finished recording all the tracks on our first full-length album. yeaaaahhhh!! so exciting! matt up at prairie sun recording provided his engineering skills (and some clanging on swamp jam). we spent 3 days tracking live with some good friends coming in to do some overdubs of jaw harp, harmonica, saw (yes, saw) and general bangs and clangs. thank you friends. it sounds awesome. and seriously, prairie sun is amazing. it's built into old chicken coops and barns and provided that perfect country setting.

we're currently involved in the mixing process which ends up taking waaaay longer than one would imagine. but fear not, we're almost done...with mixing that is. once we get it all mastered, we'll start putting up a track here and there on the myspace page for everybody to check out.

when we have an official release date, we'll let y'all know and we'll have a proper hootenanny style party to celebrate new musical offerings. so please keep your eyes and your ears open.
