I had a doctors appt. on Monday the 10th, with Dr. Mashburn. I had all the usual done, blood pressure, baby's heartbeat, blood taking, checked to see how many cm I was dialated.
I was 2 almost 3cm when I went in. Dr. Mashburn told me to schedule for another week, so i did. I also got my maternity note for my boss, so i can save my hours. Then my husband and I had to do some running around. We stopped at HARDY's to get some food cuz I started feeling hungry, yet nauseas. We then went to his work {Toyota} so he could get new tires on his truck so it would pass inspection. So while he went in the back to get things situated with the truck, I sat in the waiting room and ate. He then comes back out and asked if i wanted to go for a walk to the back, I said sure. He helped me gather up the food and we start heading to the back. We stopped and talked to someone who works there and then started walking past the counter. Just as I took the first step I felt a trickle. I stopped and my husband looks at me, Im like...Hun, I think my water just broke. He was like shit, cuz it was gunna take an hour for them to get his truck done. He walks to where they are working on his truck explains to them what had just happened and they got like 2-3 guys working on his truck to get it done lol. So he tells me to sit down and covers a chair with a garbage bag...im like no im not sitting cuz it feels like it is just all gunna rush out of me. so i tell him to put it on the floor lol. so im standing over the bag eating and talking to my mom.
Eventually his truck gets done, we head out, and get to the hospital about 7p. I get situated in the room and still feeling pretty good. By midnight they had to induce my labor so they gave me pitocin. The contractions got closer and more intense, but i was able to keep up with the breathing with the contractions. towards the end i was so ready to give up cuz they got so bad, i was asking for an epideral at 7cm. But by the time the anestesialogist got there, i was already pushing. I shot from 7 to 10cm in like 5 min it was crazy. Next thing i know our little girl was laying on my chest crying. Eddie was such a wonderful coach, even tho we have never gone to any classes . He was so calm through the whole thing. He was amazing.
Its been about a week and im slowly adjusting to my new schedule of waking up every 3 hours for feedings and just enjoying my time with the little one. Her big sister absolutley adores her and wants to help and hold her all the time. It's perfect.
