"Today I found out that Capt. Lou had passed away. He passed away at home with his family beside him. I am sad for his family and I'm just sad. But I know he's at peace now. He had been ill for a while. My heart goes out to his family.

Capt Lou and I became famous together. He always made me laugh. He made all that promotion we did so much fun. He graced me with a lot of video performances that I will always treasure. He was a great, gregarious, hilarious fellow who had this lovable presence. I was lucky to work by his side. I will always look back on our absolute hilarious times and the magical world of Wrestling he introduced me to and shared for that brief time. As he said, he took me up the charts from 10, to 5, to 4 to 1, to minus 5 back up to 1 again. And it was great fun too.

So let me just say this; I love ya Lou and I can picture you up there somewhere explaining that PEG principle to someone. Or maybe you're having a good laugh with Freddie Blassie. But where ever you are, I am sure you are causing a hilarious rucuss. And I will be sad to miss out on that."

I'm soooo sorry Cyndi, I know you loved Lou. I did too, he was my favorite WWF manager as I had been a fan of his even before I saw him in your video! He always managed great wrestlers and without a doubt, he always was a factor in the match and a great entertainer! Captain Lou Albano 4ever.

This is so sad, and Lou was such a fine man! I'll never forget his awesome, hilarious performance as Mario in the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, that was on in the late 80's/early 90's. Him, and Danny Wells (who played Luigi) were such a great, and funny duo!

When I saw the headline on AOL yesterday, I thought of you immediately.  There was a great article about Captain Lou on there with so many positive comments.  It certainly brought me back to when the GJWHF video came out.  R.I.P. Captain Lou.

Don't let those dark clouds come your way Cyndi!  We'll be there 4 U.

Thanks Cyndi, for posting this. We loved Lou from back in those great days, you and him made a great team, like perfect fits, we all could believe he was your dad. And what guy cant appreciate a man that can use rubberbands for jewelry and facial accents, and hell, who would of thought of using a rubber band for a beard...Lou...

Oh and on a side note, Willie Giest host of MSNBC's way too early said this morning that his Drivers Ed teacher was Capn Lou's brother and he did a very nice commentary on Capn Lou..

God will watch over Lou and also his family. He is in peace, but still there is a sadness that can't be helped. Thank God for memories, all of them. Cyndi, you were so fortunate to be a good friend to Lou and I (we) know that Lou's death has touched you even more so. It's okay to mourn because he will be missed by those he left behind. My heart goes out to his family. I lost my dad in 2006 and I think of him everyday. My heart goes out to you because he was someone special in your life.  Love you and thank you for the blog.

I remember the first time I ever met you, it was April 25th, 1984, I just turned 21...you were doing a gig in Cleveland, a little dive, no a/c, about 800 people showed up, I was 2 inches away from you, and remember how hot it was in the place...they had to open the exit doors just for some cool air, and I took an album of yours and fanned you because you looked so hot...not that kind of hot, but, hot and sweaty...You were so nice to me, and absolutely adorable...After the concert I came home to find a find had just passed away that night due to cystic fibrosis...never got the chance to turn 21...a moment in time....
