The following is a message from Eric Mouquet:

Hello my friends,

I'm so glad to finally have this project available in June. I have spend two years working with Flavio Dell 'Isola, not every day of course, but the music was always on my mind. This album is very important to me. After many wonderful collaborations with artists such as Josh Groban, I'm back with this album of music which is closer to the Deep Forest music inspiration.

The meeting with Flavio was the starting point of this adventure. When Flavio came to my studio for the very first time, I was absolutly sure that we could create music together. Because I had never been to Brasil, I asked Flavio to tell me about his country, and he started to write some lyrics while I was improvising music. And step by step we were able to compose all these songs.

The first song we did was Amazonia, this is the only song with French lyrics in the chorus, "Il faut sauver l'Amazonie" "We must save Amazonia". During a session, my children Ange and Ambre were in the studio. They seemed to be intrigued by the birds singing on my piano, and so I started to explain to them about Amazonia. Their reaction was...Il faut sauver l'Amazonie... I decided to record them and add their sweet voices to the end of the song. Ambre (she was just starting to speak) is trying to repeat the same words as her brother...les
oiseaux...pipit...les grenouilles...nounouilles...les serpents...serpent....we were so moved in the studio that even now when I listen to this part of the song, tears are coming! I really hope for them that we will not only save Amazonia, but the Earth.

Deep Brasil will be available mainly as an internet edition. I will soon give all of you the information on how to obtain it.I'm already working on two different projects, including Deep Africa featuring great African singers (You will be surprised!). This album goes back to the roots of the first Deep Forest album...

I'm also working with a wonderful Chinese artist named Sa Dingding. We will travel around China to collect music and sounds from this vast country. We have already composed several songs and the Deep China album will be ready in 2009.

My mother learned me to like the Deep Forest music.
since I was a baby I listen to it.
And she always told me that some day, you would make an album with Brazillian soul/music on it.
Its so good to see that this is reality now.
We are very excited here in Brasil.
I am sure this will be one wonderful album, like all the others.
And the Amazonia its for all of us.
if we work together we will save it.

Thanks for this WONDERFUL NEWS. was not in touch with DF stuffs for a while. When I checked back, I was greeted with a BANG with the release note of DEEP BRASIL. Thank you very much for the great music and will look forward to buy it out here in India very soon.

And the news on Deep Africa have already made me thrilled!!! Cant wait to know more on the album. I wish if you could make Wes a part of that album :) He is a terrific vocalist. I also wish Yossou NDour and Mory Kante :)

I've come across the song Alive by Sa Dingding. I think she is a cool vocalist.

Cant wait!!!

The projects up to "Deep Brasil" have furthered so much vision. I have had the pleasure of corresponding a bit with Flavio about his projects as well as his collab works with you. Flavio is a magnificent man and musician.
