I'll pass on this thanks...been there, done that with Ultrastar. Besides, I like a lot of music, not just yours. If I had to pay for all of them, it would no longer be financially possible to be a fan. When bands want to charge for stuff like this they are telling me they don't want me to like all music, just theirs. Selfish.

As to the ticketing thing, I buy a $17.00 ticket to see The Kills and ticketmaster charges me $10.00 in service fees, now you guys want to add more money on top of that ? Makes me feel like you don't really care about people or the future health of the music industry.

It's ok tho' lots will sign up, but I am drawing a line in the sand.

If you wouldnt pay to hear it then youre not a fan... just a whining deadbeat.  Nobody buys records anymore so this is a new and interesting way for artists to make money off of their craft.

I agree. ..Years upon years of being a Stripes fan, now rare and exclusive material is being released, for $7-$20 a month with a 3 month minimum.....Doesn't sound like the way things used to be at all. I miss the White Stripes, pre-Icky Thump..

Anything to pull an extra buck these days. But, services aren't free.  These things will just end up pirated anyways sooner than would be wished. I know how much Jack likes that ;)

thanks to Jack White's efforts I have seen The White Stripes, and the Roconteurs and both shows were fantastic, if you don't like him why are you reading this? me, i will stick with Mr. White, thanks for keeping the LP's alive, I have a fantastic turntable and at the last Raconteurs show,I bought on vinyl at the last concert. Dead Weather is coming to town here in Nashville, where Mr. White lives now, so you wankers that don't get it, good for the rest of us! Thanks Jack!

Sounds fair to me.  I realize artists need to find new ways to sell their music.  I am signing up now.  Jack, your brother Ed is going to try and hook me up with The Dead Weather tickets when you are in Detroit, at the end of the month.  I told him I would pay them of course!
I love all your music.

I've got to admit, I'm kind of surprised that you're introducing something that we have to pay a subscription for.....that's really not keeping with Jack's 'philosophy'.  I could be wrong of course but that was my 'first' impression.  I love Jack and think he is a genius.  The White Stripes are one of the best things to come around in 20 years.  However, I can't see joining anything where a fee must be paid.  I don't think that was Jack's idea.  Again, I could be wrong.  Just speaking from my heart.

Way to go Jacky Boy, that's usin' your head. It IS possible for artists to still make money, just gotta be smart about it - like so! Looking forward to seeing you at the Paramount in Seattle late August. I'll be the one throwing our demo onstage hahaha

I feel like all those "exclusive" streaming videos, video messages, photos, updates and concert videos will be uploaded onto other sites by fans' blogs and peer2peer programs, so there's not that much of a point subscribing to this unless your dying to get sample records from unknown artists that you may not even care for.

I hate to say it, but no deal... I luv your guitar playing and all jack, don't get me wrong... It's just that ya should have stayed with the grundge blues type of shit rather than go off the deep end... Everything after elephant is pretty much hogwash to me and I'm really sorry to say that. That kinda sound got you noticed and created your fan base. The only money I would pay would be to see you live which would be a kick_ass experience.. I still like you're music, but the pre_nashville era... What happened to rockin out in a garage in Detroit... It's time to make Motor City Burn again....

..He was asked to do the theme song for the Bond Movie and so was she (I believe), and I thought it was an excellent collab.  It's as if Freddie Mercury would've ever collaborated with Gladys Knight -- hard to imagine but probably great if they did.  I see you're as big a fan of them as I am but clearly we come from two different spectrums.  I haven't really heard him miss a step musically yet (well maybe the Coca-Cola commercial was a bit far).  Also, Jack White's is quite a song writer and hip-hop could take a lot of notes from how to do a live performance from guys like him- you definately should know - so I think it's long overdue that the Stripes, Raconteurs, Dead Weather, break new ground.  ..

ok... so jack white does not have the ethos he once had... he's doing coke commercials & trying to make money etc... i get it, its a shame, but ive gotta say you guys on here sound like a bunch of spoilt brats... it costs money to make music & if you keep stamping your feet & demanding everything for free, eventually no-one will make it... an artist making you pay for a record that took a year & thousands of $'s to make does not equate to the artist stealing from you... you dont deserve good music

the way I see it, it's like Jack's prettymuch saying "Hey, check it out, I have this badass record plant that you are welcome to visit and enjoy exclusive things that you enjoy, and we have this deal we're doing where you can receive some of this badass exclusive stuff and you can see bunches of internet whatever but the things is...  it costs money.  Money upfront.  Trust your boy Jack and let me borrow a little cash so we can make it for you, I'll pay you back with some badass records soon and exclusive video/etc access for now..."

As a fan, I want the stuff.
I don't mind helping out my boy Jack White and The Raconteurs and Meg and The Dead Weather, etc..
But as an investment, it's not unwise to subscribe.
The stuff is limited edition.
But buy it cause ya want it.
Music is a hobby, find stuff you like and enjoy your investments.
(I like investing in making myself happy.)
Also I enjoy participating in the good fortune of my favorite bands.
