Thanks to everyone who has befriended me or posted comments recently - sorry I don't have time to thank you all personally. It means a lot that you like the book!

I'm busy with music at the moment, rehearsing and gigging with my Acid Folk band, Telling the Bees, and playing in a more trad folk duo with Beck Price. As far as writing goes, the 'difficult second book' rumbles one, still no contract signed. But I've just reviewed a book about Stonehenge for the Telegraph and got rung up by the Guardian for my comments about fairies. Can't ever say that life isn't interesting.

Summer solstice is soon upon us. It is, as the Space Goats said on their album Inamorata, 'the time of year to eat of the sacred fig, that fig that can take you to under and over worlds, that can give great insights, or insanities, and certainly...lots of colours'
