It seems that 2009 is not a good year for us. I have just received notice that my maternal grandfather Ching-shang Yang has unexpectedly died of massive intestinal bleeding this morning. :(

At the age of 98 years, Ching-shang was the oldest of my grandparents, and also the last living one. I had hoped that he would live to see his 100th birthday. Although this dream will never be realized, I'm sure his new friends in heaven will throw a huge celebration for him once he joins the triple-digit club!

Ching-shang has been reunited with my grandmother Pi-tan and my uncle Harrison in heaven. He is no longer with us physically, but he will remain alive in our hearts forever. However, things just won't be the same without him. There will be difficult times ahead of us, so thoughts and prayers will be appreciated.
