Bandido Camp Grounds
EVERYONE IS SUBJECT TO CAMPGROUND LAWS! WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANYTHING STUPID YOU MIGHT DO! READ CAMPGROUND LAWS/RULES NEAR THE ENTRANCE OF THE CAMPSITE, THEY ARE VERY IMPORTANT!!!! YOU COULD BE FINED!This is a really cool camp ground that holds 130 campers. The site has 4 bathrooms, but no running water! Even though we will have bottled water and food , it's not a bad idea to bring a quart of water for yourself and extra food! You may only get one meal out of the BBQ. If you need a bathroom with running water and a cooked meal, Newcombs ranch is open till 10pm and a 4-5 miles away!
We'll also provide firewood for the main camp fire and power for music!
WEATHER AND WHAT YOU SHOULD BRING!
At 5840ft elevation, it'll be hot during the day and freezing cold at night! For camping you'll need a tent, sleeping bag and warm clothes! A small bottle of water, flashlight(!), some extra food(freeze you perishables!) then you won't need a cooler(put in backback)! Travel light!
If the weather is cloudy in the city. by the time your half way up the 2Hwy(Crest) you'll break passed the cloud line and it'll blue skies and bright sun! You will not be disappointed.
SUPPORT TRUCKS:
We'll have a support trucks for both scooters and motorcycles, we can carry your stuff up to the campsite. Coming back down might be tricky, everyone leaves at odd times. By default anything left behind in the trucks will be taken to the Cretin Club house.
Parking your vehicle before the camp ride: I understand some people are trucking their bikes down, I can only suggest a place to park your car/truck. The Glendale metrolink parking lot has video surveillance and 24 hour patrol security. I would think this might be better than leaving your car in the streets of Los Angeles.
I can only suggest you to unload your bike around the corner, then drive your vehical into the parking lot. This would save you any harassment from the security guards and the parking lot allows 72 hour parking. So your good for the whole weekend! Heads up! Only two of the three parking lots are 72 hour free parking. Also this is near Eatz, the Scooter Meeting spot. Google the Directions!

People driving up to the campsite in trucks/cars and late birds and early birds! It's a group campground, that has limited parking space! I would suggest people try and carpool together! When the Campground lot is full, we will still allow people to enter to drop off their gear and supplies. But you will have to park your vehicle at the second parking lot, that is a long walk away! So riding your scooter/ motorcycle will pay off!
Showing up early won't get you early access, We won't allow people to enter the campground until one or both groups show up, except people bringing in Rally supplies etc... Bikes and Scooter will should arrive by 1pm, if coming by car show up then! This will also allow us time to setup.
If you come super early I suggest people to wait at New Combs Ranch Dinner. It's three miles before the camp road turn off and it's the only restaurant/sports bar on the Angeles Crest Hwy! It's a real nice place to chill, with pool tables, food, Large T.V. and things to look at. Once you see the bikes and scooters you can follow them to the camp grounds..........

Official Directions to Bandido Campgrounds:....
Bandido Campground is located off State Highway 2, 28 miles north of the 210 Freeway in La ....Canada.... and 2 miles west of Three Points on ....Santa Clara Divide Road.... (3N17). The campground is at an elevation of 5,840 feet amid Jeffery Pines, Scrub Oaks, and Manzanita.

Bandido Campground is located approximately 35 miles above the city of ....La.... ....Canada...., just off Highway 2 on ....Sulfur Springs Road..... From any direction, take the ....Angeles Crest Highway.... (Highway 2) exit off of the 210 freeway. Proceed north on the ....Angeles Crest Highway.... into the mountains.
Approximately 35 miles into the mountains and takes approximately 45 minutes to drive to from the bottom of the hill.
As you head up on Angeles Crest Highway, go past the Mt. Wilson Turnoff (approximately 15 miles) and past the Chilao Campgrounds (approximately 25 miles). Stay on Highway 2 until you pass Newcomb's Ranch Restaurant (on your left hand side).
Approximately one and a half miles past Newcomb's, turn left on ....Sulfur Springs Road(3N17)/Santa Clara Divide Road .... (look for sign that says "Organized Camps"). Follow the road and look for the entrance sign to "Angeles Crest Christian Camp" DO NOT ENTER! Keep going down the road!
(Special note: There aren't any gas stations after you leave the bottom of the hill in La ....Canada..... There is no cell phone service once you head into the mountains.)
