Current mood:  talkative
I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I received a gig invitation for El Paso, Tx?. randooooom.
But I was intrigued, after all my mom is originally from San Antonio, and my real father was born in El Paso. So I was about to get a taste, and venture to their old stomping grounds...

I touched down to El Paso airport @ 9:55 pm, and wasn’t in El Paso more than maybe an hour, when I ended up in Juarez, Mexico... which is right across the border from El Paso. Let’s just say, the following day was a complete wash, except for laying out on the balcony for a couple hours...seems like forever since I’ve felt sunshine like THAT. We were good for nothing, until we received homemade burritos delivered straight to our door, and more drinks to kill the pain from the previous nights debauchery. Which included a totally packed rooftop terrazza, black label flowin’ and commercial mash-ups that even I was groovin’ to... and it didn’t stop there. My last recollection?... a very posh flat with a kitchen large enough to swing dance in, which is exactly where the night left off. I vaguely remember being completely flipped upside down, "dancing with the stars" style, no joke.

The following night was the actual gig at Vanilla, I wasn’t sure what they would make me, being that the night before Murks "Dark Drums", was in full effect, which I loved too... when I got a T.P of it 5 yrs ago! Nevertheless, when we arrived at the club, I knew it would be good. Vanilla has a nice modern layout and design, 2 hot go go dancers, and a nice, up - for it crowd. I played a mixture of some cool electro & minimal... Eric Prydz meets Loco Dice shall we say... and seemed to provide a fun, sexy atmosphere :)

Overall a fun night, with amazing hospitality & very friendly people! plus a whole day of sunshine in Juarez!

I wasn’t sure what to expect of El Paso, but what I learned... I would def go back :)

Special thx to Zulem, Raphael & co. @ Vanilla... as well as all the lovely people who were in attendance enjoying the music!

Big Love!
