Well we got our passports, and are back to our weekly visit to see our friends in Progresso. We do love to go over there, Wild Bill, Daddy and I eat at the Downtown Cafe, great food there, especially the fully loaded ponchos, we have a Sol Beer, and talk to our good friend Angel, he has a new baby girl "Brenda". He always has a story to tell, and this last one was a doozy, I can't really write it down, ask me sometime, it is a really cool story!. Usually "Judy" finds us by then and is with us the rest of the time, til we leave. Judy is a little special needs girl that we have helped since she was three years old. After our visit there, Daddy and I take off for the pharmacy, Wild Bill heads to "The Red Panty Bar" . We go to "Jessica's" Pharmacy, which is ran by my Daddy's good amigo "Arturo" We call him " Dr. Arturo" because he always knows the answers, the pharmacy is named after his daughter, and they recide in Weslaco. We then join Wild Bill at "The Red Panty Bar" Now if you have been to the Saloon, you will notice a humongous pair of Red Panties hanging at Sandie's Back Bar, well they sell those at The Red Panty Bar, along with other cute little items. If you go there please say hello to Isaias, he is the bartender and makes the best drinks we have ever tasted. Just down the hall is where Wild Bill and I get our pedicures, Daddy won't ever get another one, because he said , he does his own. On occasion, Daddy visits his dentist, "Dr. Gilberto Barajas G." He has given Daddy a beautiful smile.
At this time, the venders are really hurting in Progresso, I'm certain it is due to our economy, lack of our Winter visitors, and the Passport issue. I hope you do your part to help them when you go over there, buy that gum, that rose, that rosary, that piece of jewelry, or basket, etc. Let's help our neighbors out, they really count on us, hey, Wild Bill, Daddy and I are doing our part!
While we were over there, Kyle Park called us, we are trying to book him in, he is a busy man these days with all his new hits, but we have an edge, we promised to take him to Progresso with us next time!
I know we are all in a bind these days with the economy, but always find time to reward yourself with something you love to do, and we hope one of those things is coming on over to Wild Bill's Saloon to have a few ice cold longnecks, and help us keep your entertainment coming.
