You know sometimes...I sit at home and think about all the great people that I've met in my life and how I didn't pay if forward. The thing that really sucks...is that we forget about each other dreams because we're sooooo focus on ourselves. If I was further along in the entertainment business. I would build a stronger bond in the arts with other great talented people. What sucks is...we all know friends that know somebody that's just as talented as you if not better. Do you know there is so much money out there to be made... and as black performing artist. We don't truly help each other out enough.
Why do people fill like..." I have to get mine before you get yours " ? Why should that really matter? Maybe they're thinking you'll steal their thunder or something? No! That's not always true we can all rise together but we choose not too... let's be real. Then people tell you to wait on God's timing...that's very true... and there is nothing wrong with that but if we... as "artist" especially black artist. No matter what our gift is... could help someone else just as talented as us if not better succeed. Who knows maybe their timing will come a lot faster instead of years later. I know that when God does it...it's always right...but how many of us press towards pushing the limits and having faith in other people works. (Spiritually speaking.) I'm sure we might all be surprised in the end...it's just something to think about.
I love appreciate and totally respect all my very talented friends. However, when we network it's only for ourselves and family and close friends.Ok, but what about that young talented boy or girl that lives down the street. Who is just as talented? We all need to do better as artist and people in general. People have a selfish nature in them period...we all just do. I'm going to be very truthful. If I ever come across some powerful people that can help change my situation or elevated my status in life. If you are a star in you're on right and your good and we cross paths. I will make sure people find you and take notice of your gifts. To all my many talented performing artist. If your a dancer, vocalist, visual artist, musician actor etc. I will mention your name or tell "whoever" about you. Maybe then you would pay it forward to some else.
It's time to shine my artistic friends...we all know to many stars (to many people) in our own backyards right now in our life's. We all need to come together and grow as people. Now that…is real unity...we all know that different races and cultures help each other like that on a daily bases. However, I don't want to get to deep into that issue. Could you imagine if all the good black "artist" pushed each other like that...we might not get soooo tired of listening to and watching such bad artist make the money that should rightly be ours.
P.S. I love you all...let's continue to really grow and pay it forward.
