Applications now open for bands to be part of, THE EUPHONY FUSION 3, a new Australian Metal Promotional Compilation, to be distributed in association with the forthcoming ARCH ENEMY/SUFFOCATION/WINDS OF PLAGUE Australian tour from November 1-7, 2009.

After the tremendous success of our Australian metal promotional compilations in 2007-2008, we at Welkin Entertainment are putting together another promotional metal compilation, this one to be distributed in association with the forthcoming Australian tour featuring ARCH ENEMY, SUFFOCATION & WINDS OF PLAGUE from November 1-7, 2009.

1000 copies of the CD will be pressed, and each band will be required to pay $220 for the placement of one song on the CD. In return for this fee, Welkin Entertainment organises and co-ordinates the whole project from start to finish, including pressing of the CD’s with professionally designed artwork by Svartwerk (www.myspace.com/svartwerk). Copies will then be distributed to metal radio stations and webzines Australia wide for radio play, giveaways, reviews etc. and handed out to fans for free at the following shows:

With the compilation CD being distributed in 5 major Australian cities, it gives bands an opportunity to promote their music across the country for very little overall cost, and have your music directly handed to potential fans. At $220 for placing 1 of your songs on 1000 CD’s, that’s only 22 cents per CD.

Bands interested in being featured on this compilation are required to submit a song for consideration (details on how to make a submission are below) by Friday, September 4. At that time we will choose which bands/songs will be featured on the compilation and notify all bands of whether their submission has been successful or not by Monday, September 7.

HOW TO MAKE A SUBMISSION, APPROPRIATE DEADLINES, PAYMENT & DISTRIBUTION INFORMATION

FOR THE EUPHONY FUSION 3

SUBMISSIONS:

1.1. How to make a submission:

1.  Send an audio CD with the nominated song for inclusion (if there is more than one track, include a note indicating which track you would like to feature on the compilation) to:

Note: All physical CD entries must be full quality audio

OR

2. Email an mp3 (of minimum 192kps quality) to:  welkin.entertainment@gmail.com

Note: For mp3 entries- if your band’s song is selected for inclusion on the compilation, you must forward on the full quality audio to Welkin Entertainment by Monday, September 21. You can do this by either posting the CD to the above postal address OR uploading the audio to a hosting site such as megaupload.com and emailing the link to Welkin Entertainment.

1.2. **A Note On Song Length:

• Any songs nominated for inclusion that are LESS than 3 minutes in length will incur a $40 discount and hence the payment required will only be $180.
• Any songs nominated for inclusion that are MORE than 6 minutes 30 seconds in length will incur an additional fee of $40 and hence the payment required will be $260.

1.3 Please include a contact email address and phone number with your submission.

1.4 Deadline for submissions:

1.5 Bands will be advised as to whether or not they have secured a spot on this particular compilation by: 

• Monday, September 7

IF YOUR BANDS SUBMISSION IS SUCCESSFUL:

2.1 You will immediately be emailed a Grant of Rights form (which once signed gives Welkin Entertainment the legal right to reproduce the recording of your song solely for the purposes of this compilation CD). 

2.2 The signed Grant of Rights form must be received by Welkin Entertainment by Monday, September 21. 

§       Note: If you do not provide Welkin Ent with this signed form by September 21 your bands song will be taken off the compilation and replaced by another band.

2.3. Fee to be paid to Welkin Entertainment for the placement of one song on The Euphony Fusion 3:    

·       $220**

2.4. Preferred payment method is online bank transfer; payment can also be made by sending a cheque or money order to the above postal address. You will be provided with Welkin Entertainment’s bank details (for use in online transfer) if yours bands submission is successful.

2.5. Deadline for payment:

• Monday, September 21

2.6. If payment is not made by the deadline date, your bands song will be taken off the compilation and replaced with another band.

2.7 Number of copies being pressed and distributed nationally:

• 1000

2.9 ‘x’ amount of CD’s will be handed out to fans as they are leaving the venue at the end of the evening at each distribution gig.

2.10  Distribution points at each venue will be advertised beforehand so interested fans can make sure they are able to acquire a copy if they so wish.

2.11 Each band will receive 1 copy of the compilation CD per band member upon its completion. (Please provide us with a postal address for this purpose). All other CD’s will be distributed by Welkin Entertainment.

2.12 Welkin Entertainment will distribute copies of the compilation to metal radio stations and webzines Australia wide for radio play, giveaways, reviews etc.

2.13 The CD will be packaged in a cardboard slip. Each band will have their name, song title and a nominated website address on the back cover. (We go with the minimal packaging to keep costs down to make this promotional service more affordable for bands.).

2.14 All bands that do not get a spot on this particular compilation will be automatically considered for future compilations if they so wish.

2.15 If you’re interested in being part of a Welkin promotional compilation, but you don’t feel this particular set of distribution points suits your bands music, let us know, and we will register your interest and contact you when we feel we have another compilation that may be more suitable to your bands style.
