Last night I filed a complaint with Cingular regarding my outrageous phone bill. They said it would take 72 for me to get a response. I also filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) last night.
Today I got a response from Cingular regarding my BBB complaint. Unfortunately, their response was that they will get back with me "soon."
Hmmmm.
Well, at least somebody returned my call today. Yesterday I spent 52 minutes on hold only to have my call dropped and another 36 minutes dealing with a customer representative who was not able to help me because of the staggering amount ($8,677.29).
If you have a problem with your cell phone company you can file a complaint at
www.bbb.org.
Now I am headed to the FCC website to file a complaint there. There needs to be a safeguard that protect consumers from ridiculous charges. I know credit card companies turn off your card if you go buy furniture and charge thousands of dollars. There is no reason why phone companies can't do the same thing.
Wish me luck.
