Hi everyone. I am so behind on my updates. Thanks for the birthday wishes. I am pretty new to Myspace and did not expect so many wonderful messages. Thank you very, very much! Also thanks for all the fantastic supportive notes. After elimination is was a funky few days for me. You know we shot the show in January. We are all under contract not to say ANYTHING! That is so hard, especially after getting voted off the kitchen island! So I put it in the back of my mind and told myself not to think about it. Yeah right!
Once the show started it was so exciting and I rode the roller coaster ride of NFNS each week with you. After my elimination episode aired I felt a sense of relief. The cat was out of the bag and I could breathe a sigh of relief and disappointment.
What I really loved was the "after elimination" video on foodnetwork.com. It gave you a glimpse of what my relationship with JAG was like. We really connected. He is a great guy! We still talk about 3-4 times a week. JAG is kind, creative, funny, a great chef and a tough guy with a heart of gold! It was really sad to say goodbye to Rory Amy and JAG.
Winning is always great, but if you do not win on a reality show, I think the second best thing is to do a great job, make a strong and positive impression and turn it into something. Think American Idol....Top 4 can bring lots of opportunity!
Last Sunday's episode was amazing. The media tour that Rory, Amy and JAG did looked like a lot of fun especially with Rachel Ray. What an opportunity for the top three to shine! It was a little weird to watch the show without being on it. But I was very proud to watch and to be a part of such an amazing show. I was shocked when JAG stepped down! But under the circumstances it was the right thing to do. So now Amy & Rory stand as the final two. Who will win Rory's Backyard Bistro or Amy's Gourmet Next Door? You've decided. Tune in Sunday June 22 to find out who is your Next Food Network Star!
