Steadily decreasing bee populations may not seem like a big concern for a campus full of chefs, but it's becoming a hot topic thanks to Chef Rudolph Spiess and two CIA groups, Chefs for Sustainable Agriculture & the Garden Society.
The CIA has recently installed our own beehive, containing about 24,000 honeybees. The CIA's community of beekeepers hopes to educate the campus on the culinary impact bees have -- not just by producing honey, but by pollinating many crops.
