Hello all!  Just in case you haven't noticed the new addition to the Community Records namesake, we have added Foundation to the end.  We're on our way to becoming a non-profit and Foundation emphasizes that...we hope!
We're hosting our first bi-annual Friend Raiser, along with VISION from EMU,  to bring in some old and new friends, also to raise some funds for our after school programs, supplies and marketing.

So here are the details:
Tony Morgan and John Latini are our very special Masters of Ceremonies.
We'll have various booths/tables set up for kids to get in on the action.  We'll have eco-art, an instrument petting zoo, facepaint and Like Water will have a table.  In addition to activities we'll also have several non-profits.
Admission is a suggested donation of $5 and/or musical instruments.
The musical schedule is as follows:
Noon - 12:50 p.m.:  SKLFL and The Free Onez, a hip-hop and rap music        featuring a live back-up band
1 p.m. - 1:20 p.m.:  From the Motherland, original teen rock band
1:30 p.m. - 1:50 p.m.:  VOLUME slam poets
2 p.m. - 2:20 p.m.:  Members from Like Water Drum Ensemble, African drum and dance ensemble
2:30 p.m. - 2:50 p.m.:  Mr. Seley, music that kids love.
3 p.m. - 3:20 p.m.:  The Kerfuffles, family party music band
3:30 p.m. - 4 p.m.:  Laith Al-Saadi, a.k.a King of the Blues
