Ok, so my Uncle Tommy died recently. He was an actor/cop/guitarist from Algiers (the westbank of New Orleans). I didn't realize how much of an effect the man had on me until I was notified that he passed away. When I was a kid, Uncle Tommy was larger than life. He was a tall man who always had time to tell the kids stories (even if they were a BIT off color, lol) and you could always hear his laugh throughout my grandmothers house at family get-togethers. It always made it feel like the holidays when you walked in and heard Uncle Tommy laughing or playing guitar and singing those horrible Cajun songs and 50's rock songs. I realize that I've had MANY different jobs in my life so far, but I've settled into being a cop/guitarist and look forward to trying out for a play sometime soon (I haven't been in a public play in 18 years). I'll try my best to remember what Uncle Tommy taught me about life and relationships and endeavor to learn from his mistakes.
