I look around as I repeat my day to day routine. The Alarm clock blaring in the morning. The look of complacency upon the face's of strangers.  As I change the channels from CNN to The History Channel and back again. I start to notice a parallel between the events in the 60's with NAM, and and the current fiasco in Iraq,  but there is one stark difference between now and then. The Movement.  Where are the protesters, the hippy's, and the advocates?  Some will say the media ignores much of this now.  I'm quite sure they do, but you could not ignore what happened then, Haight Ashbury was unmistakable.  REVOLUTION.  The word it was spoken freely. Post Patriot Act or "patriotic acting" this would be a risky move after all it has been proven the lengths they may go to for the hidden agenda they would lie for it Watergate, WMD"S, Plame affair. They would kill for it JFK, Lennon, MLK.  A spokesperson for the CIA has gone on the record stating that anyone  who speaks of peace  and love  is seen as a  dangerous  individual.  Every time the machine learns from its mistakes.

After Vietnam they knew a major operation in a country most Americans can't point to on a map would never work again.  So they soften us up to the idea with a desert storm.  Give us another pearl harbor a short while later, and the war machine is born again.  Flood us with images of movie stars and scandals no war at hand here.  Go back to sleep.  We've shown our dislike for the draft so now they need volunteers just four years unless we say you have to stay more. No choice they own you.  We are dollar signs and body bags to the machine, and that is all.   When? When will we be fed up with this and rebel. Will it ever happen? And now the front runner in the next presidential farce, Hillary...  Clinton?  I'm sorry mam we would love a woman president,  but I Think we've had enough of letting one family run things for awhile.  At least I hope so any way, but if we have learned one thing. Its that our voting process means nothing.
Sorry President Gore you didn't get that memo.  I don't think it was the first time perhaps just the sloppiest.   Now though things are good the President can do and say whatever he would like,  and if anyone tries to hold him or his staff accountable its ok.  Just claim executive privilege...
Guess Nixon Didn't get that memo either.
