With the Second Season of our very own ABA starting tonight for 2007 I know this first round will prove crucial in discovering which teams have kept their form over the break and just exactly who is hot and who is not in the respective divisions. With most of the Rosters for the season locked in place Semester 2 2007 is shaping up to eclipse last season. This season A-Reserve Mens has blown out to a massive 10 team chase for the A-Reserve title. Last Seasons Champions, the Glory, will not only have to face off against the revenge filled Kings (Last seasons runner ups) but will also have to face the challenge of some of the newer clubs in the competition.

There have been a number of transfers and promotions so here is a short list of the teams to keep an eye on this season!

As for the Women's Divisions there have been a number of exciting rivilries that will carry over from last semester. But there are two main teams I urge you to keep an eye on this season. In Womens B Grade keep an eye on the Tigers. With some changes to their roster with Guard Carla Ansell in Cambodia for six months and tall Center Tiffany Black down at the Sydney campus they will miss the season so teh Tigers have got new signings to complete their roster. The tigers will pick up the start of this season wheer they finished of last time round. Unfortunately they fell short at the final hurdle during the finals but this semester with consistency they hop to make it one step closer to the B Grade Title.

In a shocking move the Whirlwinds have announced that they will be playing in teh lower C Grade this season. Star player Panton has been released to continue playing at the B Grade level so the Whirlwinds wish her all teh best in your endevour. With some experience at playing in B Grade the Whirlwinds will bring some valuable insight to the C Grade competition this season and will definatly be looking to dominate and capitolise form the lessons they learnt from the higher division. For more information about the Whirlwinds visit their website at: http://www.whirlwindsbasketball.org/

With just over 5 hours till the start of the nw ABA Season I know that I'l be mentally counting down the hours and minutes till my debut in A-Reserve (8:50 PM Court 3 from memory).

Support you ABA team this Season!
