OK I realize this is MySpace, but in case any of you also have Facebook accounts ... you can now post individual Petfinder pets to your news feed. On each pet profile page, there's a "Share on Facebook" button below the pet's bio. Just click it and, as long as you're logged into Facebook, it will appear to all your friends (you can add a comment too).

This is a great way to promote individual pets and also spread the word about pet adoption to the Facebook community. If you use this feature, let me know -- I'd love to hear how you like it!

It's a great feature, but what if I want to post the pet profile to a Facebook page instead of my own personal Facebook profile. I manage Parrots First Facebook page and I would like to add our listings for all to see. Right now I just have a link to our Petfinder page available.


If it is possible I would suggest creating a Facebook/MySpace application that is a virtual slideshow of the pets that are up for adoption for each group/shelter. That way someone might see an animal that they may want, click on their picture and a new browser window opens to view that animal's bio. Just a suggestion. Thanks for listening.

Hey everybody! Just wanted to give you some info on Petfinder.com.  Each time we click for the animal rescue site, it also helps petfinder. It's kind of like the Breast Cancer site. Provides food, shelter, spaying, and neutering, plus finding loving homes for all theses animals. We all must remember that animals are a gift from God. Sincerely, Melody D. Smith
