We have a couple off updates from BFR HQ.
Firstly we have secured a distribution deal in Germany and all our future releases and back catalogue starting from BFR002 which is Jesus H Foxx's debut release will soon be available for all you lovely German folk.
That said, Be a Familiar's debut release, Pain in the Heart/Tiptoe is available in Germany from September 29th in all good record stores on 7" vinyl and if your lucky you will even find some CD versions kicking about in some stores, this will be our first release in Germany.
The band will be in the country to celebrate and their tour dates are below,
OCT 4th @ Vortex, Siegen OCT 5th @ Groovestation, Dresden supporting Theoretical Girl OCT 6th Live on Balconytv.de, Hamburg OCT 7th @ Molotow, Hamburg supporting Someone still loves you Boris Yeltsin OCT 8th @ Muz Club, Nurnburg supporting Green Apple Sea
Then on their return from Germany, Be a Familiar and Green Apple Sea will be joining There will be Fireworks at The Captains Rest for a show on October 10th. Tickets are available from ticketweb.co.uk now.
After some initial problems, the bands debut 7", CD and download is widely available in the UK including Itunes and our myspace page.
Details off a second release from the band will be announced soon including a remixed B-side from a very good Edinburgh band.
We have a new blogging website which is currently under construction, but you can still few what is interesting us on a weekly basis at brokenfriendrecords.blogspot.com
We will be promoting some more shows in the near future after the success off our Someone Still loves you Boris Yeltsin show, these will be happening in Glasgow at the Captains Rest and Edinburgh at Sneaky Petes.
Details off shows can be found on our page.
Finally, we are teaming up with Dirty Hearts Club in Aberdeen for a night off entertainment at Snafu on November 6th.
It promises to be a good night with Be a Familiar and Jesus H Foxx joining local favourites, Copy Haho on the bill. Ourselves and DHC will perform DJ slots as well as some guest DJ's. Tickets are available from ticketweb.co.uk now.
Thanks,
BFR HQ
