Projectile is rolling thru town and is going to do an impromptu all-hardware (no
laptop) set after Dan Dubuque's acoustic performance. Dan's slap acoustic
guitar (last seen opening for the sold out "Best Bar in America" screening at
the Wilma) and Mr. Projectile's cutting edge idm and techno should make for a
very interesting combo...

BLVD, Modality, &
Live in the Dark @ the Badlander / $8 / 21+ / 9pm - it's been fascinating
to watch how electronic music has infiltrated the jam band scene over the last
decade, and BLVD is a prime example of the innovative hybrids that have arisen
as a result of this cross pollination. They bill themselves as "live
electro/hip hop" but definitely have strong roots in the Galactic-funk/jam style
and wouldn't sound out of place playing with Thievery Corp - recommended! Local
opener Modality is a very intriguing drums & electronics 2 piece I need to
see a few more times before I'm going to be able to describe them well, which is
pretty cool. Live in the Dark (KBGA) does the dj duty...

treat this year is a reunion gig from pretty much the gnarliest live electronic
act ever - Siamese. A live drum n'bass trio anchored by
KJ Sawka,
Siamese used to play here a bunch around 6-7 years ago and floored pretty much
anybody that saw them, fueling a legend that persisted long after their breakup
in 2003. They are reuniting for only 2 shows - one gig opening up for Amon
Tobin at a festival, and one here in msla. Nothing you want to miss, ever.
