For me as a person who likes drawing, I thought it'd be cool to have my own character that everyone knew by. Not just local people, but the world, or like an artist community would know. My subject would be witty, creative, iconic, and feed on the ideas of what went onto my head. Sortta a persona of myself in drawing form. Its been one of my personal star dreams to ever accomplish... and I guess I wanted to put out those folks who inspired me...

Yoshitaka Amano
Well that dude worked in the japanese animation business and went into character designing for square enix where i'd be crazed over his character pieces...
Maurice Sendak
He's the author of "Where the Wild Things Are." Yes that book we all read and saw on Reading Rainbow and school. I mean have you seen the illustrations. I personally believe it wouldnt have sold if he let the illustrations go somewhere else. He originally gave me the hopes of becoming a childrens illustrator.
Dr. Seuss
That guy also with his countless books inspired me to be a childrens illustrator, but theres also this other side that I found interesting. His politcal stanpoints, he'd enter his comments about politics through his cartoons. Its not the first time theres been political cartoon but it was a side we all never seen and thats something i never seen in an artist at that point.
Lela Lee and Rob Reger
Each created very known popular characters. Lela created Little Angry Asian Girl and Rob Reger created Emily the Strange. The two were solid evidences of what I wanted to do. Create something so iconic and popular.
Adrian Tomine
I saw his work displayed a year ago, hes a contemporary cartoonist. I like his style and his short story he has to tell..
Charles M. Schulz
You should know em by
Peanuts, Charlie Brown. That guy put heart into his comics if you read some of it.
Matt Groening
Creator of Simpsons and Futurama. Guy is a genius and at one point I found myself drawing Bumblebee Man. I always found myself copying his style. Over bite, 4 fingers, circle eyeballs. etc.
