Here it is my statement for the day. GET REAL! Church WAKE UP and stop fooling yourselves. James, Jesus brother, was a really wise guy and wrote a great letter:

Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
Jam 1:23
For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
Jam 1:24
For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
Jam 1:25
But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

We enjoyed a lovely field trip to a local Dominoes pizza place yesterday with our homeschool coop. We experienced Dominoes in all it's pizzarific splendor. We ate yummy pizza and truly had a charming afternoon. The kids were in all their glory!
I never had THIS experience yesterday, but don't you hate it when you're eating a slice of ooey gooey pizza and unbeknownst to you a giant slop of sauce parks itself on your chin. You are clueless that it's there. If you have a true friend, they will inform you of your unfortunate facial adornment. If not, the next trip to the bathroom mirror will be slightly embarassing. What's worse is when you see the spot, but forget to wash it off because your two-year-old decided to yank all the toilet paper off the roll and decorate. But how about our hearts? Do our hearts regularly carry sauce spots? Some of us are simply in SAUCE DENIAL! Everyone else can see it but we refuse to wipe it off!!! We simply REFUSE to allow the blood of Jesus to do its cleansing work.

Quasi is a prefix
Almost real; seeming
They fill our churches
Look around
It could be you

Hypocritical
Hypercritical
It's time we clean some house
Put some spiritual fruit on your table
Stop acting like a louse
Sucking life from your brothers and sisters in Christ
Even from your spouse
Draining joy from living
One wicked word at a time
Have nothing left for giving
You are who is on your mind
It's time to practice what you preach
Die quasi-Christian die
The only hope for you
Nail your flesh back on that cross

LORD JESUS!!! HELP! Help your church. You are coming back for a bride without spot or blemish and wonder if You'll even find faith on the earth at Your return. Help us dear sweet Jesus to get in YOU and allow You to get our acts together! No MORE just hearing and not doing. Help us to GET REAL!!! Really into Loving You and doing YOUR work
