So heres what I've been up to the last few days. Yesterday was round one of two for me waking up earlier then normal. Which usually takes place between 10-1030am if i set an alarm. But, also don't forget, sometimes you have to think about the events that took place the evening before. So certain weeks I can tend to be an afternoon bloomer. Which for me definitely kills the day and makes the night seem far to short. So even though waking up can be tuff it makes the all around day more enjoyable.
I'm just glad I don't live in England. During the winter seasons there is barely any light. I remember when I was there I didn't see a hint of sunlight till the day I went back to the airport. I also wasn't waking up till usually 3 or 4 pm in the afternoon. But, when I first arrived it was evening and then the party began. The routine for myself was simple sleep way to long, sound check, warm up, play, let the madness begin. The English people definitely like to have a swell time. Ok enough of my rambling.
So yesterday I woke up at 9am and was just completely out of it. I didn't wanna be up but I knew I had a few things to do. Did the whole morning routine then headed out to our trailer. Opened that bad boy out and started doing inventory. I definitely thought there was a lot less thats for sure. But after it was all complete I felt really accomplished especially after some well spent time flipping threw t shirts and hoodies. After that I came inside and made a delish lunch then went to the shower to wash my gross hair. Even when I'm not on tour I find a reason not to wash it. There is no excuse but I definitely don't like it as much clean. Least for how the way it looks. Talk about poofy, I might as well be a koosh ball head. After these events I practiced by myself for a while then headed to band practice. Then came home and watched Little Miss Sunshine. If you haven't seen it you should.
Ok! now today I think is a little more interesting of a story. I got up at 8am so I could ride with my buddy dean to this free for all at St. Vincent thrift store. The name slips my mind at the moment because its still a tad bit early. But this place has a line outside the door waiting to get in. Why? well how can you beat a brown paper bag filled with whatever your want for the price of only a dollar! So just imagine the array of people. Its quite the shopping experience. Its like a race to the finish line everyone is just grabbing and stuffing clothes, belts, and shoes into their bag. I loved every second of it though. I also came out with a lot of cool neat stuff. Driving around to different areas of town and seeing new things you can explore is exciting. I think its finally kicking in that no matter where you live you always think you want to be somewhere else. I don't think its a place or city that makes life enjoyable. It's the people that surround you and the adventures you partake in. Your life is in your control take charge and make things happen. But I love my friends! thanks for always being so much fun and wanting to continue on the journey.
Oh I forgot to mention Dean also let me raid this stash of art he had. I picked up some pretty neat stuff for my walls!
I forgot my camera for the thrifting experience so next time I go I will make sure to remember.
