November is going to be packed with lovely gigs. I keep going into weekends in October scratching my head, wondering why I have free time. Then I remember that I iwas supposed to be finishing my album during October. That was the plan anyway, only it turned out that somebody out there in never-never land took all of the open spots that I had set aside for recording sessions. Meaning, my producer's calender was full for October, by the beginning of September. Go figure. I wish I had that person's name, so that I could personally cuss them out. It's probably one of my friends who I recommended record with Scott Smith. If you're out there reading this, call me, so that I can have your sessions.
So, now I'm wondering if I can fit some recording and tweaking sessions in during November when I'm playing more than usual. Usual for me is twice a month, because I do have these two little munchkins that want me to pay attention to them and only them on Saturdays. That mostly leaves Fridays for gigs, and lil' ol' me wants to go out and have fun like normal people once in a while. Somehow I overdid it during November, but I'm not complaining..I love playing out.
But when the heck am I gonna finish the CD? Should I fill my calendar til it's overflowing and bang out the last two songs for my CD so that I can schedule a CD release for March? Should I wait until January? Have you ever noticed that you're so busy that you can't find any clean socks in your drawer? That's how I measure when my life is too crammed full of stuff, when my sock drawer is empty and I'm digging through the laundry basket. Or when the Chinese food in the fridge starts looking like the little white box is going to explode.....
Help me out folks...(like find out who took Wednesdays in October at Scott Smith's studio, so I can Vinnie take care of 'em)
