This is so true that it is sad sometimes. The saddest part is that millions of people never realize that what you do comes back everytime, one way or another.

  Had not stopped by in awhile so adding my two cents to a old posting.

Yes only time will tell, and it does not give any hints either, one has to wait for It to happen whenever it does. Though I think Music is more then a form of peace, but rather it is a path to peace. For all true artists, what ever medium they have, their art is an outlet which helps to release the creative force within themselves. Some artists though have far to much creative force and to them atleast an impefect out let, so they never really attain peace, but rather end up spinning into madness a la Van Gogh. 

As for Change being possible, yes it is, but that does not mean it is easy. For any true change to take place, one much change on the inside first, change imposed by outside forces usually does not last much longer then what ever force ceases. That is a big theme in many of the Eastern Philosophies. That the only way to truely change the world is to change yourself and the world will follow, as they often say that the world at large is just an extention of the self.

While true change must come from within, it does help to have those around you who can give support and assistence where needed, but the indiviual will still have to do most if not all of the "heavy lifting" in creating the change. And even if the change sought can never be 100% achieved that does not mean one should not try, for even a partial metamorphosis can put one in a better place then they are now ( hopefully).

 

Change is very much so possible. It's just up to you to decide how much and what you want to change. As for me, many things have changed this year...

My group roster has been completely made over due to people having a lack of focus. Also, I lost the girl of my dreams over stupid reasons. My mother lost her job and my father might lose his as well. So, alot of the change was unwanted, but I have faith in God and faith in myself to make better of the situations put before me. I'm currently working on my solo album. I have a pretty good following here in Middle Tennessee, so I hope to bring in some money for the family.

To make a long story short, Josh the person is having a hard time with change, but Mr. Clean the artist embraces it as another obstacle to overcome in life. As long as you keep that mindset, you'll succeed. I listen to songs like "Fallin'" and think about life. Your chance to do something big is now. Take full advantage of that. Peace.

The liars, cheats, fakes and phonies are only there to gain us life experience. Think about it like this. If you've went through thirty horrible girls that lie to you, cheat on you, tell you what you want to hear instead of being real, and generally don't appreciate you for the wonderful man you are, what's going to happen when you find a girl who is none of those things? You're going to adore her. You're going to be that much more thankful that you found that person, and because of those things you went through, what the two of you have would be stronger. Crazy analogy, I know but it's true.</P><P>I guess what I'm saying is that all the bad things that happen to us in life make us who we are. Even musically. I know that from experience. If I hadn't been through all those things, then I couldn't express hurt the way I need to for songs. I couldn't express that powerful love lost or anger as well. The same goes for you I'm sure.</P><P>Change happens, babe. Every day, and you can't control it and you can't stop it anymore than you can stop that world from spinning. You just have to roll with it. Duck and weave and run or face it as you choose, but it's inevitable. I'm kind of frivolous, sporadic and spontaneous so you might not think of it like me, but I celebrate the good in my life, and the bad even more. I've had parties after horrible breakups that broke my heart simply because I'm saying goodbye to a chapter in my life that was never meant to be, and hello to a future that's gotta be better than that, ya know?</P><P>Hit me back sweetheart and we'll talk. By the way, you were asking what we saw when we saw "Smoke." I don't see "Smoke," I only see the boy I knew from way back when that's grown into what seems to be a really wonderful man. I see you. Your music is good, don't let me lie to you, but you as a person is what I see and what I think about when I think of you. If people can't see through the image, the artist, and the strong beat and find the real you through the lyrics and spending time with you, then they are fake and you should expel them from your life. Then throw a party because you did so. :)</P><P>Anyway, I had a good time the other evening, and I know this is extra long, but you gave me a lot to think about with this one.</P><P>Luv</P>

Change..IS very possible...at one time i wasnt sure. but do to some recent things in my life i beleive it is.

I really liked how detailed you are with your beliefs, that I find absolutely true to the last word. It took me a long time to realize a lot of these things, except for.." What goes around comes around." this I have seen many people learn the hard way. As for change, I believe change is always good rather it be a result of a bad experience due to change or a good experience. Both allow a person to grow and get a valuable leason from both.
 

Oh, well, this blog is old, but I do want to say, change is not only possible, but probable. The direction of the change is based on catalyst, and it is each of our responsiblilty to be the catalyst in the right direction. You are already doing that, so Kudos!
 

hey smoke. change is possible but you have to prepare yourself for the things that come along with change. i really dif your blog, its cool.
 

Sorry, I only speak English, I'm only an old man, so I hope you can understand this. CHANGE can only come through UNDERSTANDING. Then you must act in order to facillitate the CHANGE. Otherwise, you will be the victim of someone else's CHANGE. To stop being a victim, INFORM YOURSLEF.....or not.
