Being sold as electro/ house/ hiphop triple, Alex Costanzo’s new Track "Don't Need Your Money" is breaking out of the electro house genre and making a crossover to Hip Hop. The stomping house beats and gliding square-waveform bass lines reflect Alex’s house roots, while precisely constructed pitch-portamento interactions between the sound scenes drill into each and every club addict's body to generate a dangerous dependence.
The individual hip hop flavor is provided by the Lady Luana, an urban music veteran working around the globe for years as a singer and MC, with stretched and corrected pitch drifts of her souly hook line. Luana gives the track a female touch in the monotonous club world dominated by men- a welcome change.
With a nod to the styles of Timbaland and Lil Wayne, the rhymes and the vocal editing compare to those of Kanye West and would not be unusual for Fergie or Nelly Furtado.
Even though the electro house genre is oversaturated, Alex, is a first generation electro kid who produces, writes and performs is keenly aware of how much electro music flavor the house genre has absorbed over the years.  He loves to play the crowd on the dance floor and is always willing to push the boundaries of crossovers, experimenting between styles a little bit further than most.
Another perspective of "Don't Need Your Money" is delivered by Adrian Martin (Miniload Rec, VVWI Rec, Releaseyourself, Genowefa) with his remix, driven by soft/minimal 808 drums and deeply filtered bass lines, generates a minimalistic sound picture appropriate to his style.
Further house mixes are provided by Blackspirit und XFlash, well known as remixers for Fatman Scoop.
