Less than a month after the NEBRASKAland DAYS Celebration concluded, the organization's newest division goes into high gear preparing for Western Nebraska's only Professional Bull Riders, Inc (PBR) event. The Wild West Bull Fest will be the division's inaugural event and will draw several PBR stars to the Wild West Arena in North Platte at 7:00pm on Saturday, August 18.
"PBR is an extraordinarily popular organization with more than 18 million fans around the country. Holding one of their extreme events in the Wild West Arena is something we've been looking forward to for a long time," stated Executive Director Lori Bortner. "We're also excited to get the crowd up close and personal with this event as a temporary arena will be built within the Wild West Arena bringing the chutes closer to the grandstands and allowing premier seating on the arena floor right next to the action."
The Wild West Bull Fest will be a part of PBR's Enterprise Tour and will be produced by the second largest Enterprise Tour production company in the nation, V Lazy S Productions, owned by Tryon, Nebraska's Mark Ward and Kearney, Nebraska's Tim Holcomb.
Wild West Production's Chairman Marv Larabee stated the importance of finding a production company that knew the area and also had a good relationship with the PBR "Mark and Tim have assisted us greatly with finding an ideal date for attracting several of PBR's biggest stars and are also helping make this inaugural event for Wild West Productions a very professional occasion to get us off on the right foot."
Tickets for the Wild West Bull Fest PBR Enterprise Tour event are currently on-sale at www.nebraskalanddays.com or in the NEBRASKAland DAYS office located at 509 East 4th Street in North Platte. Individuals may also purchase tickets by calling 888-313-5606. Prices range from $18 for the upper grandstands, $21 for the lower section of the grandstands and $25 for the 360 person capacity seating on the floor of the arena.
