The Songwriters Showcase was born about a year and a half ago based on a passion for live, original music.  This event has grown to the point where we have just relocated to The Gibson Centre for Performing Arts, a beautiful new 150 soft seat venue with professional sound and lighting.  The Gibson Centre offers other features including a fully licensed café and various art exhibits.

The Songwriters Showcase is a performance committed completely to the singer and the song.  Two guest feature artists join George and Jason for an intimate and acoustic show on the first Sunday afternoon of each month.  Each singer performs their original compositions in a rotation format.  Our guest artists perform 6 tunes, George and Jason usually about 2 each.

We are proud to note that many accomplished singer/songwriters have graced our stage even though it is a PWYC (pay what you can) gig.  They have been attracted to our show because we have taken great care to create an environment that is conducive to the beauty and art of original music.  The audience is 'pin-drop' as we allow no distractions whatsoever.  The staging and lighting enhance an intimate and interactive ambience.

Judging by a record crowd of over 90 for our last show it appears our reputation has really caught on within the musical community.  This is very rewarding to us given the amount of effort we have put into this over the past year and a half.
