Had a crackin' time at Hartington Village Hop this year, MADE's annual foray to the wilds of the Dales. And since Saturday night - September 19th - was International Talk Like A Pirate Day, we had to have a Pirate Bal to celebrate. Hence the new photo album - please enjoy and add comments, in Piratespeak wherever possible. Arrrr!
Walking back after the Bal, 3am, through a picture-postcard cutesy Dales village as far from the sea as you can be on this island, dressed as pirates, was a wonderfully surreal experience.

Mike then went off to various bits of England, and I came down with swine flu, or H1N1 virus to be exact. Less snappy, but I like to think of it as Geordie, "Ooh, have you got the Hinny flu, pet?" And the funny thing is, they specifically tell you NOT to go to your doctor if you have it. Great - so where are they getting the figures from that they report on the news? Anyway, after a rather unusual few days I'm mending, and checking out the efficacy of Elderberries.
