The reason I was inspired to paint this portrait of Barack Obama. It is the manner in which he ran his campaign, even when things got tough he held his composure.

He inspired a generation of young and old, black and white.
Against overwhelming odds, he believed that he could be president. If you can believe in something and see it in your mind and work hard at it, you can make it happen.
