Well today was super awesome. :) I threw together a balloon dart booth for the PTO @ my son's school's fall festival. It went better than I could've expect AND my hubby helped the whole time. He was reloading the balloons on the board like crazy and helping with our kids and the schoolkids. He even had time to run over and join the drum circle! Plus he bought me a snow cone!! :) LOL And the kids were so good and had so much fun.
That, my friend, is how we should be spending our time. We have been so busy and yet we've had no family time or even just productive time... But its getting there. Chuck's schedule at work is changing and I am so happy. He'll be home just a little after Jake gets out of school. We will have our whole evening back! No more quick 'im home! good night.'
As for me.. my mom and I are taking on a few extra kids soon and Rachel is starting her preschool workbooks after Halloween (which we over do every year! hehe). Auggie brought me her 'COOKIE' flashcard and yelled 'cookie! peets.' Which is how she says 'please' and she points out every duck she sees - so I think I'm doing okay there. Plus, I thought being V.P. of the PTO was going to be waaay to scary. But its actually fun and challenging. Makes me converse with people which is something I usually avoid... I love being there for Jacob at school and he loves that I am on a first name basis with alot of the staff now. :)
