This week,
Alok Jha and the Science Weekly team are joined by
Simon Lewis, a Royal Society research fellow at the University of Leeds' Earth & Biosphere Institute to discuss the week of
eco-protests at Heathrow.
We ask Simon about the efficacy of
biofuels; if it's possible to put the genie back in the bottle when it comes to our love for low-cost travel; and whether - as Kermit the Frog so eloquently put it - it's really not easy being green. Our reporter Tristan Farrow goes to
Camp Climate Change to hear more from the protesters themselves - but as ever we want to know what
you think.
Sticking with the holiday theme,
Heather Sohl from the
World Wildlife Fund about the impact of
bringing back rare plant and animal products from your exotic holidays abroad.
Also in the programme,
James Randerson sides with Richard Dawkins in
railing against astology, and explains the very latest in geek couture:
solar bikinis and a computer game you control with your underwear. Tech correspondent
Bobbie Johnson meanwhile bemoans the wonks who've developed a supercomputer that can solve the
Rubik's cube in a record 26 moves - couldn't they put their minds to better use?
