RECKLESS KELLY FEATURED TWICE
ON LATEST ‘BEST IN TEXAS’ COMPILATION CD
Austin,
TX — Two tracks from the latest album by Austin-based roots-rock band
Reckless Kelly, BULLETPROOF (Yep Roc, June 2008), are featured on
Volume 6 of the annually produced compilation of Texas and Red Dirt
music, available free at music festival, parties and special
promotional events.
Reckless Kelly’s
“Love in Her Eyes,” which debuted in the Top 20 of The Texas Music
Chart, and “A Guy Like Me” are the first and 14th selections of 19
songs on BUD LIGHT PRESENTS THE BEST IN TEXAS, Vol. 6: Texas’ favorites
songs on a free CD co-sponsored by the state’s favorite beer.
“The
music scene is an important part of the personality of Texas,” says
Kevin Cargile, geographic marketing manager at Anheuser-Busch, maker of
Bud Light and Texas-only ZiegenBock. “The music reflects the heritage,
pride and spirit that Texans embrace. We’re proud to have an
association with many of the most popular Texas artists, and we support
their efforts to make that music connection with fans all across the
state.”
Cody Braun of Reckless Kelly
agrees. “To be part of what is considered the best of Texas, where we
feel so at home with our families and friends and fans, is a big honor.”
Like
many of the 16 other artists on the album, Reckless Kelly — whose new
Yep Roc release, SOMEWHERE IN TIME, drops in February 2010 — appears
regularly on the weekly Texas Music Chart and in Best In Texas® Music
Magazine, a co-sponsor with Bud Light of the free CD.
