We're currently in Deaf to Van Gogh's Ear's living room playing Goldeneye on the N64 and some one has just remarked "when you put body armour on it sounds like you're doing up your flies" and they are not wrong. 

The day before yesterday we headed from Newcastle to Newport, quite a detour but worth it for the headbanging and travelodge jokes. 2 for 1 cocktails (including the lethal Trivial Headbanger) meant that after we'd finished playing we were enticed onto the dancefloor with some Taking Back Sunday, Head Automatica and The Used to pull out some filthy moves (these may be up in video form on MSW's page, shudder). Despite being a 2 minute walk to the hotel I genuinely feared for my life for the whole journey and the street vomit was reaching ankle level by the time we got back. We then hit Doug relentlessly with a big red thing off the sofa until he tried to wee on us, the way all nights should end. 

Then up to Manchester, a rise in latitude as well as racial tension as it happened to be the day of a load of race riots. I'd hit the 6th day tour slump so the last thing I really needed was a load of neo nazis being chuff nuts and 2 riot vans worth of policemen shouting at me to "get out of the way". I was feeling frail and stupid by the time we got to the venue. Luckily it was an absolute corkers, DTVGE were fabulous, MSW sounded PHAT (perfectly handsome and that) and the crowd were a bunch of gentlepersons. We then returned to Van Goth's (sick (sic)) house and talked loads of guff and then had a nice night's sleep, although our necks are still aching from all the slow motion headbanging, a continuing joke on the tour bus. 

We've moved onto Diddy Kong Racing now, I'm waiting for Mario Party to come out so I can rinse everyone on Night Light Fright.
