There is always a lot of news coming through, but the most recent (and relevant) would have to be...
- Production on the upcoming 2007, full-length Empty album is progressing at a solid pace. The demos that are in the works each have a distinct new level of production and attention to melody and vocal detail that will provide a fresh new foundation for this already diverse electronic-industrial group. These demos have been released into the hands of a select few for listening at this point and will surface very soon as Empty are setting themselves up to make giant leaps in the album. They are working on creating a definition to the band's sound that was only just beginning to show itself in the debut EP "Open Aeon".
- Empty live performances are undergoing a continuous stage of rehearsal. The guys have put together a fully-equipped live band to produce a depth and level of intensity that goes beyond that of the EP. Now decked out with a live drummer, bassist, guitarist, keyboardist and vocalist, Empty are working with other groups at the present time to lock in a date for a debut show in Sydney.
- Compilation CDs are coming in fast. Along with the already released Glitch Mode compilation, featuring Empty's floor-pumping track "Castrated", there has been a brand new release of the Arable Farmland series out of Chicago, USA. This compilation features 11 bands from four countries, including SEARAD, Pask, Flood of Rain and of course Empty. One the highlighted additions by Empty is that of a reworked track produced in 2003 by the now defunct industrial project 'Tron'.
- More on the compilation front is the soon to be released Hyperreality V.A 2007 CD from Alien Productions in Slovakia. This compilation will feature an exclusive remix of Empty's track "Alone" by the European electro group dISHARMONY.
- Still under production is the release of the Nocturnal Instincts / Circa Nocturna 2006 Fashion show DVD out of Melbourne, Australia, which features a number of tracks from Empty's "Open Aeon" EP.
- For those of you following the mess up with Empty's feature track "Castrated" on issue 13 of FIEND Magazine, you'll be happy to know that FIEND will be featuring Empty on the next issue with a possible multimedia track including MP3s, videos, etc.
- In other band related news, the Sweet Sherry lads are chewing through a host of new material that seems to be crazier than the last. Look out on their MySpace for some new demos coming through shortly.
