I am so proud of my wife! She was recently selected out of over 500 entries as one of the top 25 "Best Moms in Tampa Bay" by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers! We just went to the luncheon yesterday, and she did not end up being one of the top 3 prize winners, but after hearing some of the other stories of moms that were there, we were both extremely honored to have made it to be gathered with such an honorable group of moms! The winner's stories were amazing, but I wanted to take a moment to share the nomination letter for the best mom that I know...

In one's lifetime, there are usually a few people that inspire each of us to be better people ourselves. They are the kind of people that selflessly pour themselves out for others, even when no one is pouring back into them. Krista King is one of those people. She is a loving wife, who believes in her husband more than he believes in himself sometimes. She is a faithful Ministry Leader who sows life and hope into the lives of several area young adults. But most importantly she is "mommy" to four-year-old Samuel. When Samuel was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the young age of 17-months, Krista stepped up to the challenge even though the idea of having to treat it was difficult to deal with. Even while she manages most of the physically painful moments of Diabetic care for Samuel, he still recognizes the love that she pours into his life. It is very common to hear him say, "I love you mommy". She has earned the love and respect of her friends, family, ministry, and especially her husband and her son. As the writer of Proverbs 31 states, "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'"

So to all the moms out there...  Happy Mother's Day! And to the mother of my son...  I love you, and I am proud of you! A very special Mother's Day blessing to you from Samuel and I!
