Hey Everybody,

Very proud to announce the arrival of Takara's babies.

She started hard labor this morning at 8:10.  It was very nice of her to wait until my boys had just kissed me good bye and were off to school.  By supper time - actually during supper time LOL,  we ended up with 12 brand new baby puppies.   Six boys, and six girls.

She was in the early stages of labor for a few days (starting Tuesday).  She is extremely tired, as both she and I have been very lacking sleep this week.  She seems to be doing well other than being fatigued and VERY, VERY busy.

She is the most awesome mom.  It always amazes me (and I've done this a few times now) how instinct just kicks in and they know exactly what to do.  I have to say that Takara is the best mom I've seen so far.

I will post more tomorrow, right now I need some sleep...

Love and Hugs to you,

Heather, Takara, and the twelve

I'm sure we will mom. I'm glad you got to see them before you go flying off on vacation again today!!! You will really notice a big change when you get back in 2 weeks.

And yes we will all be fine. Not anything like December - Love to you.

Adorable puppies. What will you do with them all? Our 150 pound American Bull Dog had a dozen puppies once, but only three survived because she had them in a chair and wouldn't allow them to be moved to someplace with more space. She ended up smooshing most of them, poor things. I guess animals are like humans in some ways...some good, others not so much. Best wishes!

That is a pretty big female American.

I've got them all in a kennel right beside my bed for now. When they are a bit older, I've made an actual kennel in my sun room for them to stay in.

I've been moving them and re-positioning. It's easy for Takara to sit on a few by accident when she goes to feed. I've been keeping a very watchful eye on them all. Atleast until they are bit older and bigger.
