Join the BDC in our new partnership with Harlem Stage!

On Mon. March 30 at 7pm, we will host the New York premier screening of Wounded Knee. The film explores the 1973 take over of Wounded Knee and is part of the upcoming 5-part PBS series “We Shall Remain” which airs starting April 13.   Join filmmaker Stanley Nelson and writer Marcia Smith for the Q&A!!!

The film, directed by BDC member Stanley Nelson, will be screened exclusively for BDC members, potential members and their guests.

The free screening will be followed by a Q&A with Stanley Nelson and writer Marcia Smith, and a wine and cheese reception.

Wounded Knee recently screened at Sundance Film Festival and will screen at the Full Frame Festival in North Carolina in early April.

This is the start of a new screening partnership between the BDC and Harlem Stage.

All BDC members are urged to contact three potential members to encourage turn out and help with the start of our new membership drive. Additional screenings in the coming months will be announced shortly.

Harlem Stage is at 150 Convent Ave, at West 135th Street across from Aaron Davis Hall.
