Bortigaard
A new Pulsar47 song is sounding flucking sweet. The evolution of Pulsar songs is basically the best shit. Someone will usually come up with some sort of structure/pattern, and then we'll jam on that for over a good ten minutes. Now that i have a mixer, we are recording every pracitce, so all ideas are documented. It's great to see songs grow so quickly. Me and Emerctson were jamming the other day, and came up with the original melody for "Bortigaard". Then at practice, Aroon, Aaron, and cassie started putting their parts in. All i'm gonna say is that Aaron's bass part brings the whole song together, and opens multiple doorways at the same time. Really inspiring stuff.

We also worked on "Magicanan" and "Isomorphic Ireland", both are turning out to be epic, sprawling, floaty songs. Great atomosphere. I can't wait to play these songs live.


Fractal Recordings
With the new mixer, I've been constantly recording practices, song ideas, personal jams, and parties/small get-togethers. The latest thing we've been doing is Fractal Recording. We'll record the room's conversation and music (that we create) along with it. I'll then take that recording, burn it to CD, and insert that cd in the stereo the next time we have a party. I will then play that cd at the party, while we talk over it, and record both the cd audio, and the conversations and reactions to that audio. Repeat for a few days, and you have an auditorium of ambient music and clones of your friends. very cool.
