SPUTUM was formed in 1989, consists of gg, swall, jaha & colin as an original line-up, bearing the name of NOISE. After a while, we change the name to PSYCHODEATH and  we're well accepted at our hometown. Played gigs all over Sarawak, we've gain our popularity among metal headers across the south china sea to peninsula malaysia.

The first demo was released in 1992 and since then, we have change the name to SPUTUM and we have to go further to promote the band. We have to go to KL to look for more gigs and opportunities. In 1997, SPUTUM have formed a new line up consists of gg on drums, nawen on bass, pet on vocals and iskandar on guitar and played on "7 Bucks Gig" at One Utama, KL. Since then, they have a lot of gig invitation all over KL.

Once again, SPUTUM have to made few changes to it's line-up. With GG on bass, ELLVEEN on drums, PET on vocals, JACK & ISKANDAR on guitars, we've released a mini album under SCR (Tang) somewhere in 1998. You can view the album's cover on this space. Consisting of 7 tracks, originally from SPUTUM, we have made our own history.

In 2000, we've recorded twin compilation album with SENSELESS (band mates from kuching, Sarawak) under EMI with full cooperation from mr. nick rusty (hail ex-manager!!!) consisting of 5 tracks per band. The album titled METAL BLAST PROJECT was released somewhere in 2000. Ellveen have to leave the band and replaced by Elton (now in new york!!! What's up bro???) as a new drummer.
