Yet another trek to the store yields a great way to start the day!
As I headed out to prepare for tomorrows trek to New York City to cover the Comic Con, I did what any explorer does -- get supplies! I entered into the Big Y and saw a display that brought tears to my eyes and hunger pains to my stomach. Stacked like an ancient Egyptian pyramid it was there, glowing under the fluorescent lights! And on this display were these cryptic words... "Indiana Jones Cereal.. Two Boxes for $4.00"!
Yes, it was here! The way I wanted to start my day since I was a kid.. okay, a late blooming teenager.. okay, okay.. a man-child!
I stared at the box and studies it. Its side offered Indy Pop Tarts and Indy Fruit Snacks that were still to come. The back featured a new action packed puzzle!
I grabbed the boxes and took off like Indy with the idol in Raiders but stopped in my tracks... was it an open chasm that halted me? No more Indy goodies, this time Corn Pops with that Indy Flashlight that I saw on Eggo waffles last week... but this had a new puzzle on the back.. oh hell.. just get it fat boy, I thought to myself. Head for the checkout and there at both ends.. Ind M& M and Snickers only Two for a $1.00... oh maybe just one, or two!
God my strength hath left me like the Grail Knight!
The clerk looked up and said, "Back again, Dr. Jones?"
Wiseguy! I thought.
In the car was my loyal dog, Indiana, waiting patiently. I said to him, "Look at what they had now, Indy"!, he sniffed the box that bore the inspiration of his namesake and just yawned.
Where is the Indy love when you need it?
PICS are in My Indy Snack Pic Folder!
