I still wonder why Bittman couldn't have used an example for precisely WHY eating meat isn't good, besides the evidence he uses of malnutrition to the animals and using up land for cows (and the whole killing a living thing is bad reasoning). I was expecting him to show a picture of Lance Armstrong and reveal that he doesn't eat meat, thus making ME believe that I, too, could be the best athlete in the world without the wonderfulness that is animal muscle. I still wait for proof.
