The Mayor of Saint Paul has asked us, McNally Smith, to have our musicians perform throughout the Republican National Convention, which will take place from September 1st – September 4th. They have granted us several key street corners in Downtown Saint Paul where we can showcase the artistic vibrancy of the Twin Cities and the College. These are areas where officials anticipate high volumes of foot traffic by the estimated 50-100,000 visitors, protestors, delegates, and international media.
This is a fantastic opportunity for any McNally Smith students, alumni, faculty, and staff to showcase their own names as well as the college. There will be hour-long slots from 12:00-6:00pm on September 1st – 4th. Fun, food, and friends back at the MSCM Campus where the Daily Show with Jon Stewart will be airing out of The History Theater. We encourage acoustic acts where performers can sell their CDs, promote their names and upcoming gigs, and collect donations from the crowds.
If you are interested in performing or volunteering to staff the event, please contact us at: streetmusic@mcnallysmith.edu. See the working lineup
