loviesrespect is honored to share an exciting campaign with all of you. My Time to Shine is a joint project with Grammy award-winning artist Martina McBride and her daughter Delaney. The campaign’s goal is to get the word out about teen dating abuse and educate both teens and parents on ways to stay safe.
Martina McBride has never experienced abusive relationships first hand. It was her fans who inspired her to reach out and support this cause. The touching letters she received from victims of domestic violence after the release of “Independence Day” led her to learn more about the issue. As the mother of a teenage daughter, she wanted to ensure that her daughter was never hurt in a relationship which is why she decided to focus on teen dating abuse.
My Time to Shine was initially launched with Martina’s album “Shine” and will go along with her as she launches the
Shine All Night Tour with Trace Adkins. She believes that the teen years are a young person’s time to shine – the time in their lives when they discover who they are, what their talents are and how to have healthy relationships. Please check out the following
