A nice sunny day. The sound was good, and the pancakes rocked too.
Nick didn't play this gig.

Played 3 songs at Epiphany's music.
Messin', E.C.L*., and These are Times
This was the first (of hopefully many days) that we played with Nick Tudor on Sax.

*First Time played (Stands for Ever Changing Love)

5/16/05
Played 3 songs at Epiphany's:
Yesmen, We All belong, and we covered Let's Stay Together

5/14/05
Played Ben and Liz's wedding in Half Moon Bay, Ca.
Did most of our originals, did a few of the regular covers (Sir Duke, Watchin', Can't Stop) and did a bunch of wedding-eque covers.
The covers that day were Yellowbird (Chris Issak) Let's Stay Together (Al Green), Breakdown (Tom Petty)
Moondance (Van Morrison), Better Together ( Jack Johnson)
We usually frown upon playing so many covers, but Ben and Liz specially requested those songs for their big day.

5/2/05
Played 3 songs at epiphany's:
In My Own Way, These Daze, and That Something.

4/22/05

Earthday Party at Johnny's house on A Street in Santa Rosa, Ca
Lots of booze, lots of people, and not much room inside! Many people listened from the backyard, and it was a hoot.
Gabe Rossi played with us that night..

4/15/05
Tim and Jerry's going away party, at Tim and Jerry's house in Camp Meeker, Ca.
At 10:30 nobody was there, and we were reluctant to play. All of a sudden there were about 100 people there by 10:45. A young crowd flooded outside Tim's house. All in all a good night. we debuted "The Yesmen", and covered for the first time "Can't Stop" by the Chili's.
Attempted to record this party, but some cheesedick unplugged the recorder, which erased the HD, before it could get saved :-(

3/19/05
Played a small party at some guy's house in Occidental, Ca.
the set was only about an hour long. The acoustics were really nice. We played a compressed set of mostly our most energetic songs. I believe we threw the Stevie cover in there too. Gabe played with us that night.

3/18/05
Party at Jessica's house in Sebastopol, Ca.
this was our second time playing there, and it was still alot of fun. The room that we played in was tiny, and everybody was crammed in there, and the livingroom. At one point I thought that the floor was going to drop down a story. Lots of energy that night. it was almost impossible for us to hear ourselves. We played the full setlist, with the usual covers.

2/19/05
Party at Chi-town and Christina's house in El Cerrito, Ca.
Low energy party. Most people were outside chain smoking. it was still pretty fun though. We debuted Pigeons, and 5th of May that night.

2/11/05
Jessica's birthday party, at Jessica's house in Sebastopol, Ca.
the place was really packed. Small room to play in, and really hard to hear ourselves. Lots of fun though, lots of energy. At the end of our set we decided to repeat a few of our party-friendly songs like "We all belong", and "In My Own Way". This was the first night that Gabe Rossi played with us. Whenever Gabe plays with us we give a different intro to "We all belong". This was the debut of that intro.

1/22/05
"Capricornication" party at Tim and Jerry's house in Camp Meeker, Ca.
It was the first time we played "We all belong", and also the first time we covered "Sir Duke".

01/03/05

Did a rough recording of "We all Belong" at Stinky's. Todd recorded/mixed it using Cubase Sx3.
This is the first, and only song (so far) that we used Stinky's equipment for. We're now using this version on our demo. Not a bad verison, considering this was the same day we finished putting the song together.

12/10/04
Played a Christmas party at the CYO lodge. It was really echoey (is that a word?) in there. We played all of our originals, a few of the regular covers, and also jammed out "A few of My Favorite things" with some random lady on Sax. She was smokin' good. A really fun night with alot of nice people.

11/1/04
Played in the quad at the SRJC. First Show as "Blueshift"
This was a really nice sounding gig. The acoustics were crystal clear. We played the usual setlist, and for a November day, the weather was nice and sunny.
It was the day after Halloween, energies were low, but the show went smoothly nonetheless.
usual setlist, opening with "In My Own Way".

10/18/04
Recorded "In My Own Way" for our demo. It was recorded on a Korg 16 track Digital recorder.

July 2004
After "jamming" periodically for the last few months, it was decided that playing front of people would be fun.
